Physical Education PGSD Study Program will hold an Eminence Lecture (General Lecture) for its students, inviting Prof. Mark Tremblay, Ph.D., who is the President of AHKGA (Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance), which is a Non-Profit organization with an interest in increasing the attention of the public and governments of each country in the world, to put the health of children and adolescents as a priority through increasing their physical activity. This organization was founded on the basis of concern that a lot of children in the world have been affected by the symptoms of being physically inactive, and even experiencing sedentary behavior. This Eminence Lecture is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 08.00, and will be combined with the 2nd Workshop on Formulation of the State of Indonesia Report Card in 2022 on Physical Activities of Children and Adolescents, which will feature two speakers: Drs. Andi Suntoda, M.Pd. and Didin Budiman, M.Pd. This program will take place in a hybrid manner: Direct implementation at the FPOK UPI Auditorium and also online, through the FPOK Zoom account (detailed information can be seen on the Flyer).
Mark Tremblay will present a material entitled: Powering the Movement to Get Kids Moving – A Global Imperative. The content is of course around how to make the Movement more empowered and more powerful to move children in the world, which in his view is the obligation of the Global Community. His presentation will certainly appeal to anyone who has a high concern for global concerns, where technological developments that have occurred so far have caused children in the world, even including in Indonesia, to have caused humans including children and adolescents to be spoiled and lazy to move. , especially because it is constrained by the outbreak of the COVID-19 outbreak/pandemic.
Mark Tremblay will appear in the Zoom video conference session, so it is scheduled early in the morning, at 08.00 WIB, to adjust to him who lives in Ontario, Canada, where the time difference is 11 hours from Jakarta time. So for Mark, the schedule had to keep him up late, as it would start showing the Eminence Lecture at 9 p.m. in his country.
